Route and fare determine the answer

Cabin allowance

Aeromexico includes one cabin bag and one personal item, but the weight and size limits depend on cabin and fare family.

Personal-item treatment

The personal item is included alongside the main cabin bag; there is no separate personal-item fee shown here.

Checked allowance or charge

Aeromexico checked baggage is fare- and route-based. Classic, AM Plus, Premier, and some international fares include baggage, while Basic fares or excess allowance trigger paid checked-bag pricing by route and purchase timing.

Route and baggage-concept limits

The main pressure points are Basic checked baggage, airport excess baggage, seat-selection rules by fare family, and Basic fare change/cancellation restrictions.

Quick ways to avoid fees

Do not compare Basic against Classic or AM Plus by base fare alone if you need a checked bag.
Buy baggage before the airport when the route allows it because paid checked-bag pricing depends on route and purchase timing.
Keep bags within the standard weight and size limits; overweight and oversize charges are airport-handled and route-dependent.
Check fare-family restrictions before booking Basic if there is any chance you may change or cancel.
